Lauren Child

Lauren Child says she has always loved to draw.

Her Father was an Art teacher and she says he was a great inspiration on her life as he made drawing fun.

Lauren Child really likes the fun scribble like illustrations of Quentin Blake.

Lauren Child uses computers a lot in her work. She scans in images and then creates the background.

Child draws all her characters out in pencil. She then scans them into computer. Cleans them up and then prints them out to work over the top of them in paints and collage.

This artwork is good, the colours are bright. It doesn't really look like a collage, but its unique.

I like Lauren Child's work because it looks original. It looks more like an illustration than a collage but that's why the individual design looks nice.

Lauren Child has captured the cheeky expression of a young girl well, the colours give it a idenity and the wooden background make the characters stand out.

I like this artist because she is original but i do not like how scruffy her drawings are and do not think that the background suits the drawing
